Hey, Lake Griffin Estates neighbors! It’s time to chat about our latest HOA meeting – or should I say, the lack thereof. You may or may not have been there, but it seems like we’ve hit a bit of a snag. Let’s dive into the details and see what’s going on with our community’s leadership.
Déjà Vu at the HOA Meeting
So, here’s the scoop: our recent HOA meeting didn’t meet the required quorum. For those new to HOA lingo, a quorum is the minimum number of members needed to make the meeting official and decisions valid. Unfortunately, we fell short this time.
To paint a clearer picture, we needed 42 homeowners to participate. We only managed to rally up 12. Yep, that’s a significant gap! This means our current board, which has been on repeat for the last few years, will continue to lead us. And, yes, that includes the same President who’s been at the helm for the past 11 years.
Why Does This Matter?
So, why should you care? Well, the HOA plays a crucial role in maintaining our community’s standards and managing our shared spaces. If we’re not actively participating, we’re missing out on an opportunity to influence decisions that affect our daily lives.
