Our Annual HOA Meeting Is Where Change Happens – But Only If We Show Up
Our Annual HOA Meeting is the one meeting each year where homeowners vote on board members and have the opportunity to make real changes in our community.
This meeting matters more than any other on the calendar.
Why This Meeting Is So Important
At the Annual Meeting, homeowners vote on:
-
New board members
-
Any proposed changes that affect our community
However, for any vote to count, we must meet a minimum participation requirement.
The Reality: We Need at Least 40 Votes
To legally make changes, at least 40 homeowners must participate in the vote.
Last year, only 12 homeowners attended.
That means:
-
No meaningful change could happen
-
Decisions continued to be made by default
-
The same issues carried forward
If we don’t reach the required number of votes, nothing changes, no matter how many people are unhappy with the current situation.
If We Don’t Participate, We Lose Our Voice
It’s easy to assume someone else will show up. But when too many people think that way, we end up right back where we started.
If we want:
-
Accountability
-
Transparency
-
Fair representation
Then homeowners must participate in the Annual Meeting vote.
Can’t Attend? You Can Still Vote by Proxy
If you are unable to attend the Annual Meeting in person, you can still have your vote counted by assigning a proxy.
I am willing to serve as a proxy voter for homeowners who cannot attend.
Your vote still matters, even if you can’t be there physically.
Let’s Not Repeat Last Year
We cannot afford another year with 12 people deciding the future of the entire community, or worse, no decisions being made at all.
If we want change, participation is the only path forward.
Please make plans to attend the Annual Meeting or submit a proxy so your vote is counted.
Thank you for taking the time to be involved in our community.
