Lake Griffin Estates homeowner Eddie Roman has officially announced his candidacy for the Lake Griffin Estates HOA Board ahead of the upcoming Annual Meeting this July.
Roman, a father, business owner, homeowner advocate, and founder of LakeGriffinVoices.com, says his campaign is focused on fairness, transparency, accountability, and restoring a stronger sense of community within the neighborhood.
“After more than a decade of largely unchanged leadership, I believe it’s time for a stronger homeowner voice, greater transparency, and a renewed focus on community,” Roman said.
As a business owner with more than 20 years of experience, Roman says he understands the importance of communication, accountability, organization, and working through difficult conversations professionally. He believes HOA leadership should focus not only on enforcing rules, but also on listening to residents, communicating openly, and helping homeowners feel respected and involved in the future of the community.
Roman has been actively involved in community discussions surrounding HOA governance, homeowner communication, meeting transparency, and fair interpretation of community rules. Through LakeGriffinVoices.com, he has worked to provide residents with HOA meeting recaps, community discussions, AI-powered HOA document assistance, and resources related to homeowner rights.
According to Roman, many residents have expressed frustration about communication gaps, inconsistent enforcement concerns, and feeling disconnected from decisions that directly affect their homes and families.
“Knowing the rules matters, but applying them equally and fairly to every homeowner matters even more,” Roman stated. “A Board should not only enforce rules, but also communicate openly, listen to residents, and work to strengthen the neighborhood as a whole.”
Roman says he believes Lake Griffin Estates has the potential to be more than just a neighborhood governed by rules.
“It should be a true community where homeowners feel informed, respected, and connected,” he said. “We can protect property values while also improving communication, transparency, and trust between residents and the Board.”
He also emphasized that strong communities are built through fairness, accountability, and open dialogue, not fear or division. Whether residents agree or disagree on specific issues, Roman believes every homeowner deserves to feel heard and respected.
Homeowners should be on the lookout for HOA ballots arriving in June ahead of the Annual Meeting scheduled for July.
